Bachelor of Media Arts (Photography) graduate Christine Cornege, now working at the Marlborough Express newspaper, won four junior photographer categories in the Qantas Media Awards recently, including Best Junior Portfolio, Best Single Picture by a Junior, Best Breaking News Picture by a Junior, and Best Feature Picture by a Junior.

Also featuring in the awards were fellow BMA photography graduates Katrina Bielski, nominated as a finalist in the Best Object/Portrait/Fashion Portfolio category for her work at the Waikato Times and Hamilton Press; and Kent Blechynden from the Dominion Post, who was a finalist for Best Art Portfolio and Best Sports Portfolio.
