Study With Us

We offer nine programmes of study across a wide range of media. We have programmes to suit those who have just finished school through to those looking to switch careers or furthe rtheir education.

We offer a Master of Arts, a one-year full-time research degree with endorsements in Visual Arts, Moving Image, Design and Music, and a postgraduate Bachelor of Media Arts Honours Programme aimed at graduates who wish to undertake an in-depth investigation into their chosen area of visual arts or music practice, within a research-focused learning environment.

Our Bachelor of Media Arts (Visual Arts) is a three-year degree programme with pathways in Digital Media Design, Graphic Design, Moving Image, Painting/Sculpture, and Photography. The Bachelor of Media Arts (Communication) offers pathways in Public Relations and Advertising, Journalism, and Moving Image; and the Bachelor of Media Arts (Commercial Music) has pathways in Songwriting and Music Production, with a ‘performance’ pathway in development.

The Graduate Diploma in Communication is for those looking to enhance their degree or work experience by providing knowledge and skills in either public relations/advertising practices or professional writing.

We also offer a Diploma of Technology (Interior Design), a two-year full-time programme focusing on practical outcomes, a Diploma in Fashion Design and Practice where students gain knowledge about all aspects of fashion design, and  the National Diploma in Journalism (Multi-Media) programme which is the only entry-level qualification that the journalism industry recognises.

Our 20-week Certificate in Media Arts is for students who wish to develop their skills in visual arts, music and/or communication, but don’t have the entry requirements for degree-based study, and our Certificate in Radio Broadcasting provides students with the skills and knowledge required for entry level positions in radio.

We are also pleased to offer a mid-year intake into our Degree and Certificate programmes. Applications close for this intake in June 2009, and classes begin in mid-July.
